Like a junkie, I combed the used bookstore looking for hardcover. In between, the balance of the Thomas Covenant trilogies, I am stuck midstream, no luck again, but I know they exist. The local library is getting them from the upper peninsula... far away from a different time.

You're grandfather was a combination boxer/ singer. A rare combination indeed. Notice how jackie jumps four stairs to do a splint. "Honey, I'll dazzle you with footwork." Then jumps back up to do Motown.

Barb: That is good to hear as I am hoping to be able to pick up some hardcover copies to reread at a later date.
My cousin in Cali is reading a series originally published in Russian, on spirituality and nature...so frustrated I can't find it in any library systems. I never thought about actually buying them...librarian mentality!
