I have a lot of respect for this man. It is sad to see him leave our world. I'm not a military guy, but integrity commands respect. The book he wrote was a chronicle of difficult times finishing in triumph.
Grace under pressure is a mark of permanence. During a press conference in the Gulf War, with the eyes of the world on him, he made a very funny remark after a convoluted explanation. " I would love to see anyone diagram that sentence!"
