Reverb


William T. was apt to say, in his later years, when asked if he needed anything, " Just a few kind words, honey". Since he was a man of few words, his meaning had an ending that echoed then on after.

compactness, succinctness, pithiness. Brevity, conciseness refer to the use of few words in speaking. Brevity emphasizes the short duration of speech: reduced to extreme brevity. Conciseness emphasizes compactness of expression: clear in spite of great conciseness.

It is a good thing to learn. Somewhere in my brain, I believe a quote exists. "Brevity is the soul of wit." ?
